- Rihanna – Queen of all things fashion
Can we take a moment to appreciate Rihanna’s slay?! She came through as usual. She always has iconic outfits to the Met Gala and this year was no different. She attended the gala wearing Maison Margiela by John Galliano. I love the headpiece, the makeup was right for the occasion- I heard she flew someone in to bleach her eyebrows. Rich people’s problems, I guess. She remains a fashion icon and it is befitting for her to be channelling her inner fashion pope!
2. King of Wakanda and the Meta Gala
He didn’t come to play! He came to slay hunty! The King of Wakanda didn’t just slay all the people in Wakanda in that fit but he slayed the whole meta Gala. To be honest, my total favourite outfits are rihanna’s pope inspired outfit and the king of all things fashion, Mr Boseman. Well let’s just say I gave him that title after the Met Gala. I will be following his style at upcoming events to see if he truly deserves the title.
3. Priyanka Chopra
My favourite thing about this dress is the colour. I love the fit as well. In contrast to the vast majority of people at the MetGala, she was fully clothed and looked beautiful.
4. Lily Collins
How simple is this outfit ? Are you surprised it is in my top 4 picks? Well let’s go back to the theme, shall we ? It talks about catholic imagination. This outfit gives me total power to use my imagination. At first glance, I thought about how simple it looks in comparison to Rihanna and Boseman’s outfits but then my imagination started to run wild. So for me, she embodied the theme. I love her headpiece and her “rosary” It might not have been a rosary; it’s hard to tell. Whatever it is complements the outfit very nicely.
Were any of these celebrities in your top 4 picks from the MetGala? If you had to choose your ultimate favourite outfit from the MetGala, what would it be? Let me know your thoughts in the comment section x
