Hey my darlings! I have missed blogging as regularly as I used to. Good thing all my tech issues are sorted now. I hope you missed me;) I sure missed you!
It has been a while since I did a review on a restaurant and I think now is the perfect time to do one! I heard amazing things about ‘The Ivy’ a while ago but I never got around to checking it out for myself. To be honest, I am used to people hyping about restaurants that aren’t all that. So I decided to check it out for myself and for you all.
I love going to restaurants with a lot of history! I can tell you for a fact that this restaurant has a lot of that. The Ivy was born in 1917, wayyy before my parents ever existed lol. It has been in existence for 100 years. Clearly, they must be doing something right.
Can I just talk about how much I love the glass windows, they are just stunning:)
I know you are waiting for my views on the food. Let’s just say I was highly surprised! The food was AMAZING! The prawns were something else. I feel like I want to go back there, just for the prawns and the salmon. The miso salmon I had was one of the best salmons I have had in a while. I can confidently say that the food is worth the hype. My date had the chicken breast and insisted it was one of his best. It was so nice and succulent but very tasty. I had a tiny bite:)
I ordered this amazing superfruit punch. It was made of beetroot, superfruit tea, cranberry and yuzu. There was also the option to add a shot of vodka, which of course, I did. It was so yum.
For the food, I’ll definitely go back there:) I’ll definitely suggest trying out “the Ivy” for yourself. Heads up, you might be the only black person in the room, except the one black waiter I saw. I am used to this so I’ll definitely go again!
Have you ever been to the “The Ivy”? Would it be a place you’ll like to go? Let me know in the comments section.
